SILICON DEBUGGING / TEAM PROJECT
DeepDebug uses language models to help engineers investigate failures during silicon validation. I built it with Vivek Chokkalingam during our AMD internship.
The engineering problem
When a system under test fails, the hard part is knowing what to check next. DeepDebug analyses the system state and suggests where to look.
My role and the public result
I was a co-developer and presenter on the two-person project. DeepDebug received Best Overall Project at AMD’s Intern Innovation Showcase, and we later presented the work to Dr. Lisa Su.
This overview covers the publicly announced purpose, collaboration, and recognition. The implementation is not an open-source project, and no internal architecture, datasets, or performance figures are published here.
Why it belongs in my portfolio
The project connects two interests that run through my work: understanding hardware behavior and building tools that make difficult systems easier to investigate. It also represents collaborative engineering and communicating a technical idea to an engineering audience.
